Sideshows (sponsorshipS)

I co-founded Sideshows in 2010 with four partners in collaboration with the Big Apple Circus in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center. Original intent? An 8-16 event music-meets-the-circus-under-the-Big-Top extravaganza. The recession thwarted our most ambitious efforts, however Time Magazine deemed our premiere evening “one of the best” of 2010. Talent coordination, sponsorship corralling, general production, IA, design, writing, research, guerilla marketing name it, I tasked it. 

Most music festivals, even the largest and most respected, send out simple word docs or visually drab pdfs. A sponsorship pitch kit of this variety broke industry barriers and even enabled me (with no prior sales experience) to personally net sponsorship offers with biggies like the world’s largest internet-based social networking & multimedia entertainment company plus purveyors of tasty beer. The back cover displayed contacts, so has been omitted for privacy.
